My partner and I were really looking forward to starting the Birthing & Beyond course after being recommended by a friend as quite frankly, we had no idea what to expect about having a baby! Learning the ins and outs of labour was most helpful because they provided us with lots of information that I had no idea about. The session that spoke about c sections was particularly helpful to me after having to have an emergency c section, it meant I was able to go into it with some idea of what to expect. Lorna was absolutely fantastic and it was so nice meeting a lovely group of new mums and dads. I now have a support group of other mums going through the same as me. Also, the homemade cake they provided weekly never disappointed! Thank you so much. |

Brilliant Course! There's so much to think about when your a 1st time mum to be, labour is not always what you expect or hope 🙃 Having knowledge of all eventualities really helped me to stay calm throughout my labour, I can't thank my tutor enough (as she also by chance delivered my baby!) Plus you meet a bunch of new friends all with newborns to help you get out the house when you just need a coffee and a chat. Always a good piece of cake 🍰 on offer at each class too 😋 |

Really glad I took these classes - despite missing the last few due to having my baby early! I was so glad to have an arsenal of pain relief/comfort techniques ready when I went I to labour and my partner stayed so calm throughout, even when I was shouting that I'd changed my mind and wanted an epidural, he reminded me that I was just hitting the wall as Lorna had described 😆 Also grateful that Lorna talked about the 4th Trimester which, I discovered, is very, very real!
